What is StudioS? 〰️

Studio Schryver is a welcoming space dedicated to helping you build strength, confidence, and control through movement. Bridging the gap between physiotherapy and Pilates, the studio brings these two complementary disciplines together to provide a truly individualised approach to rehabilitation, performance, and wellbeing.

Located in the heart of Alresford, Hampshire, Studio Schryver is a dedicated three-bed Reformer Pilates studio situated above an established private GP practice. With a focus on small-group and personalised sessions, the studio offers a supportive environment where clients can move safely, build strength, and achieve their goals, whether recovering from injury, returning to exercise, or simply looking to move and feel better.

Meet Sophie Schryver

Sophie is a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with specialist interests in Women's Health and Reformer Pilates. Her approach combines evidence-based physiotherapy with movement-based rehabilitation to help people overcome pain, build confidence, and return to the activities they enjoy.

Her passion for rehabilitation stems from her own sporting background, having competed across a wide range of sports from a young age. She went on to compete at a high level through the Great Britain Rowing START Programme before a career-ending back injury in 2019 introduced her to the benefits of Pilates and movement-based rehabilitation. This experience inspired her to pursue a Master's degree in Physiotherapy and dedicate her career to helping others recover from injury, optimise performance, and regain confidence in movement.

Since qualifying, Sophie has completed extensive postgraduate training in STOTT Matwork Pilates and APPI Reformer Pilates, integrating these approaches into her clinical practice to deliver personalised, evidence-based rehabilitation programmes. She enjoys treating a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions, with specialist interests in supporting active individuals, athletes, and women throughout pregnancy and postnatal recovery. As a certified Mummy MOT Practitioner, she is passionate about helping women restore strength, confidence, and function during every stage of motherhood.

At StudioS, Sophie combines her physiotherapy expertise with Reformer Pilates to provide individualised, goal-focused rehabilitation in a supportive environment. Her aim is to help every client move better, feel stronger, and live with confidence.

“Alongside my clinical work, motorsport has remained a significant part of my life. My family have competed in it, I have competed in it, and I have worked within in. I have been fortunate to work as a physiotherapist across a variety of elite motorsport environments, including W Series, historic motorsport, and most recently Porsche Motorsport within GT3 racing.”
